Yipei Lee

Yipei Lee is an independent curator and cultural practitioner with a background in design and arts management. Working across Asia, she develops interdisciplinary cultural projects that foreground social responsibility, ecological thinking, and humanistic values. Over the past fifteen years, she has been actively engaged in the contemporary art ecosystem, working between Southeast Asia and the Chinese region.

She is the founder of SUAVEART. Her current research investigates ecological curating, developing cognitive topological frameworks around climate resilience and island geopolitics while reframing islands as critical nodes within planetary ecological systems.

Her practice approaches food as a field of research, an artistic medium, and a form of cultural resilience. Through ingredients, she examines sensory experience, botanical knowledge, and local cultural practices, tracing how everyday choices are entangled with the visible and invisible forces of globalization, localization, and ecological transformation.
