Kevin Bellò
Kevin Bellò is an Italian curator, researcher, and educator working at the intersection of food politics, contemporary art, environmental grief, and dialogic practice. Observing the world through food as an inherently relational material and an expression of supply chains rooted in racial capitalism and environmental destruction, their research work unravels food’s postcolonial histories, land management, and epistemologies. The resulting curatorial practice engages these multilayered foodscapes through collective field research and interdisciplinary creation, often organising interlocal networks based on the exchange of caring ecologies and embodied methodologies. They work as an independent curator, as well as co-founder of the transnational art collective Sympoietic Society and an educator and researcher for the food and art organisation The Gramounce.
After graduating in 2021 in Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art in London, Kevin has worked with a variety of organisations including Unesco Biosphärenpark Großes Walsertal (AT), Mediamatic (NL), HIAP (FI), Saari Residence by Kone Foundation (FI), Brave New Alps (IT), Institute for Postnatural Studies (ES), SOLU / Bioart Society (FI), UNIDEE, Fondazione Pistoletto (IT), Domaine de Boisbuchet (FR), Terzo Paesaggio (IT), Space Transcribers (PT), Gudskul Ekosistem (ID), (gentler) Futures Festival (PT), Design + Posthumanism Network (Online), FurtherField (UK) Alfaia (PT), Rua das Gaivotas 6 (PT).
