Inês Coelho da Silva
Inês Coelho da Silva is a Portuguese artist and researcher based between Porto (PT) and Milan (IT). In her work, Inês weaves intersections between ecology, food politics, ethnobotany, witchcraft, and informal knowledge-sharing. It materialises as an ecology of relationships through process-based sculptural tools, edible installations, magical gestures, community actions, and visual poems. While rooted in everyday forms maintenance, her artistic work opens pathways for gossiping as vital tool for interspecies community building.
Inês has exhibited in/collaborated with organisations like Mediamatic (NL), Fundação de Serralves (PT), Brave New Alps (IT), Institute for Postnatural Studies (ES), Oficinas do Convento (PT), Alfaia (PT), Rural Contemporánea (ES), Domaine de Boisbuchet (FR), Terzo Paesaggio (IT), Walk&Talk – Bienal de Artes (PT), (gentler) Futures Festival (PT), Standpoint Gallery (UK), Tubelight Magazine (NL), Plurality University Network (FR), among others. She works as a Tutor at The Gramounce, a trans-national organisation that runs the Food and Art Alternative MA. Inês holds an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art (UK).
